Every month, we honor and recognize a consumer and caregiver of the month, who is a pleasure to work with and goes above and beyond in their current job responsibilities.

This month is a special occasion. It is National Family Caregiver month! We are honoring five wonderful caregivers. Read their stories below.

Caregiver Keila

“What inspired me to be a caregiver is to give people quality of life, to have patience by caring for them.  I’ve learned that every client/consumer isn’t the same, and I’ve learned to be okay with that, and accept their differences (cultural backgrounds). HFTH has affected my life, and my work ethic. It has affected me economically as well. Although, I may not know much English, I haven’t been ignored by the agency. I feel that there are no barriers, and that makes me feel happy. I have learned more English, and I’m proud of myself for that. My advice to other cg’s is to have love for your client’s, and be understanding. This is a service, and care for others, not yourself. You should always put them first.”

Consumer Margarita

“Have been with Hands from the Heart for years. I enjoy everything! my caregiver takes me shopping, out to eat, and anywhere i ask. I really like the new caregiver that was sent to me, she is a good fit and is a sweet person. All the other agencies sent me was teenagers that didn’t know what they were doing and wanted to sit and play on their cell phones. My caregivers help me with everything, cleaning, shopping, and running errands.”
